Why does my 1080p movie keep skipping?
I have Avatar 1080p BluRay, it’s 11GB with resolution something like 1920*1080, file format = .mkv. When I try and play it in VLC Player it plays fine but sometimes it jumps. The audio is fine but the video stalls for about half a second then catches up. It does this frequently. My VLC Player is up to date. I have Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX with graphics drivers fully up-to-date. 4GB RAM. My monitor’s resolution is 1440*900 but the movie is 1920*1080, could this be what’s causing it? Any suggestions?
Don’t watch that piece of garbage movie. Watch a better one.
